Ashoka to launch Globaliser Programme

The social entrepreneurs network Ashoka, which was set-up by Bill Drayton in 1980 and who continues to guide Ashoka today, will launch its globaliser programme on April 17th in Vienna. This programme aims to identify those Ashoka fellows whose ideas offer greatest scope for worldwide application and to provide them with the financial, strategic and intellectual support they need to scale their operations. Ashoka is using an online application process to identify those ready to ‘globalise’. A globaliser panel will advise them on their plans to achieve global scale. Irish billionaire Dermot Desmond is on this panel.
